The Chameleon series of filaments is a unique, even magical series of PLA-based SmartFit materials, which is characterized by a change in color under the influence of temperature. A small temperature gradient changes the color of the filament from red to natural. The change in the colour of the filament is reversible and occurs when the printed part or filament itself returns to room temperature.
Polylacticide (PLA) is one of the main biodegradable polymers used m.in. in medicine (dental implants) and tissue engineering and in everyday materials, i.e. disposable packaging, bottles. PLA is considered an environmentally friendly polymer because it is obtained by converting starches and sugars from renewable sources (such as corn, potatoes, sugar cane or beet), as opposed to petrochemical polymers.
The PLA SmartFit 3D printing filament has been developed to meet the expectations of the most demanding FDMusers. We have made every effort to ensure that the filament we produce is characterized by repeatability of prints and excellent quality. Only original, certified raw materials are used for the production of filament, and the quality of products and production is taken care of by qualified engineering personnel.
PLA is one of the most widely used FDM materials right next to ABS. Its great advantage is a very small so-called shrinkage ( percentage reduction of the print size from the freezingpoint to the ambient temperature. In practice, this is the difference between model dimensions and print dimensions.) Due to the low tendency to deformation, printing without a heated work table is possible. You do not need to use a closed printer's work chamber when printing. The versatility of our filaments allows them to be used in virtually any 3D printer that uses FDM technology. Thanks to the ease of staining, the filament is available in a wide range of colours.
